I have a new DX79SR MB and the Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3970X CPU @ 3.50GHz memory Corsair CMZ16GX3M4A2400C2 DDR3 2400 (32GB).
I Set the Bios to 4500 and Memory to 1866 and it runs great. Until I power off the system, the system or the Bios can no longer find a Boot drive or any SATA drives that work fine with out overclocking. After 10 or 14 min I can get back in the Bios to reset with F9 and reboot. The system will boot and will find all the Sata Drives. SSD OS Drive a standard Sata 3 drive and a Blu-ray drive and last a DVD drive.
Also I find that you can save your Bios Setting but you cannot load what you have saved.
Any Help would be Great.
Thanks Bill
System Info.
Intel must really not be ready for Overclocking. Anyone want this MB for a $100.00 Dollars.
EVGA's x79 FTW, SLI, Z77 FTW, Stinger all overclock to 4300 with no problems.
Going with the ASUS Rampage IV Formula LGA 2011 MB
