Re: Sporadic but recurring connection dropouts on an Intel 6235 wireless adapter

I just bought an Asus UX31A - XB72 which is running on Win 7 pro.  I returned an Asus UX32VD which had a similar problem because  it was running Windows 8, which I thought was related to this (plus, to be honest, Windows 8 wasn't running several of my core software programs smoothly anyway). I have the exact problems described here. At first it was slow but not unusable. I changed the power setting from full to a hybrid setting and that might have been what started the full onset of it dropping the wireless constantly.  I installed the updated driver (15.6.0) and that caused blue screens to be added to the no wifi problem.  Then I saw here that the power settings change might have been effecting it so I reset it to full and disabled wireless N and so far it's working, but it's slow (so not fixed) but at least it's possible to get my email.  Just how big a deal is it to just change out the Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6235 my laptop is equipped with?  And what is the recomended replacement? Intel? I would love some direction on this.

Thanks
