I have branched your issue into a new thread; it was no longer related to the option “Add a wireless display”.
Please provide more information about your setup: Intel® processor/ Intel® HD Graphics model, wireless adapter model, operating system, Intel® WiDi software and driver versions used, TV brand and model and TV adapter model if used. Please share some screenshots from the TV indicating the steps you are taking to connect to the computer.
You can find most of this information from Device Manager or Intel® SIU.
