Hi I have an Asus u43jc with an intel wireless-n 1000 adaptor in it capable of 2.4 Ghz N connection. On my TV I have a D-Link Mainstage. I too experience what I call frame skipping or stuttering. On my laptop the image is clear and smooth. but on the WiDi screen it looks very similar to watching hockey on my computer on the cbc website as if every other frame was removed from the screen to compress the data and transmit it.
After running the automatic detection app for updated drivers on the intel website i found:
WiDi software = 3.0.13.0
D-Link Mainstage Firmware = 3.0.9.0
Intel Wireless N 1000 driver = 15.6.1.0
Intel 6,5,4,3,900 chipsets = 9.1.1.1024
Looks like things are up to date. Intel would be awesome if we could get some answers on how to improve or troubleshoot choppy video. May also be good to have some intel ratings of which devices worked well with the widi software.
Chris.
